505 Simulator v1.02 Release Notes

Solutions

  • Program no longer tries to continue executing after CALL stack limit failure when “Continue On Error” option is set for a Special Function.
  • Non-compiled Special Function programs and subroutines are no longer being called inline from the RLL or from a CALL statement in a compiled Special Function program.
  • PID Loops and Alarms correctly write updates to discrete V-Flag addresses.
  • Special Function execution now uses memory more efficiently.
  • Special Function SCALE and UNSCALE instructions now report an error when the input is out of the range of the engineering units specified.
  • Forced bit I/O locations are no longer cleared on a transition to Program.
  • When finding an X or Y address in a discrete force, the search will also look for “C” addresses.
  • The TEXT instruction decodes properly during the RLL syntax check and no longer causes the Find Opcode function to encounter an error and abandon its search.
  • Searching by instruction type now finds all instructions within the same instruction class. (Requires 505 Workshop 4.00 SP1)

PLC WorkShop Suite for Siemens 505 v4.00 SP1 Release Notes

Features

  • Entering floating point addresses with the Dot notation in Data Windows does not change the default format type.
  • Minimized Windows within WorkShop are not pushed below the bottom edge of the WorkShop Window.
  • A new “Always Show Logic Toolbars” feature was added to the Program Setup. This feature displays any docked or floating logic toolbars even when focus is on a non-Logic Window (Documentation, Data, Cross Reference, etc.).
  • The contents of the Cross Reference Window can be “refreshed” with valid PID Loop and Analog Alarm addresses.
  • 505 Workshop Quick Start Guide is now installed in the 505 WorkShop installation directory when the 505 Workshop Manuals option is selected. There is also a link to this PDF document added to the start menu.
  • The original online and offline “Edit” security privileges (which allowed editing of both logic in the ladder and Special Function Windows, and values in the Data Windows) have been divided into separate “Edit Logic” and “Edit Data Values” privileges.

Solutions

  • The Replace Table replaces any necessary items in networks containing One-Shot instructions.
  • Programs load and save correctly while online using CAMP through a CTI 2572 card.
  • The last network is saved to the disk file while online in ladder address mode.
  • Clicking the Validate and Enter toolbar button repeatedly and rapidly while online does not terminate WorkShop.
  • Minimizing and restoring WorkShop no longer relocates docked toolbars to the top or left edges of the WorkShop Window.
  • Validating changes in ladder and Special Function windows no longer repositions the logic to display the top of the network that contains the editing cursor.
  • The Unique Address feature now finds the same TC addresses in all types of timers.
  • The Replace Table now correctly replaces ranges of addresses in PID Loops and Analog Alarms.
  • The Cross Reference and Addresses Used features work correctly when online in ladder address mode with PLCs that do not support CAMP.
  • Saving some programs while online using CAMP does not reset the CTI communications card.
  • Updating the Cross Reference Table when connected to the 505 Simulator does not terminate WorkShop.
  • The Security Configurator (FTSecCfg.exe) and site license DLLs are removed when uninstalling WorkShop.
  • The Task Codes Per Scan utility is not longer available when online with the 505 Simulator.
