How does the employee module in FTMaintenance account for Windows/SQL logins?
In FTMaintenance, the Employee module stores all employee-related information for each individual that logs into FTMaintenance. A Login Name field is used to associate a user who is logged into Windows or SQL with an employee record. This way, specific information about an employee, such as work order originators, approvers, and so on, can be attached to various records within the system.
For each employee record, a password that is independent of the SQL Server can be stored. This password is not associated with SQL because FTMaintenance is unaware of the SQL passwords. This password is used to authenticate any individuals that attempt to approve a work order or purchase order within FTMaintenance. This password does not follow any in-place Active Directory policies.
